Historicizing Economic Growth: An Overview of Recent Works

Abstract In this historiographical review, I analyse recent works on the history of economic growth and provide a starting point for thinking about how literature fits together as discrete field research. The questions being asked in these texts are relatively new, yet no attempt has been made to identify major themes that driving putting into dialogue with each other, across disciplinary boundaries history, ecology, anthropology, economics, political science, we can see new subfield academic inquiry is emerging. Driven by concerns over climate change rising inequality, research aims understand obsession shaped so much our contemporary world.
